At Centre Stage Dance & Entertainment, we believe dance is about so much more than learning steps. It's about developing confident, capable and compassionate young people.

Centre Stage is part of the DanceStep Program, a Student Teacher Education and Leadership Program designed for students who are ready to take the next step in their dance journey. Through a combination of practical experience, workshops and online learning, students develop valuable leadership, communication and teaching skills while assisting our younger dancers in class. The six-level program covers topics including behaviour management, child development, safe dance practices, anatomy, communication and teaching strategies, preparing students for success both inside and outside the studio.

DanceStep is about more than creating future dance teachers. It helps students build confidence, resilience, responsibility and initiative while becoming positive role models within our studio community. Many of the skills developed through the program are transferable to school, future employment and everyday life.

At Centre Stage, our DanceStep students play an important role in creating the welcoming and supportive environment we are known for. They assist our teachers, encourage younger dancers, lead by example and embody our studio values of Kindness, Respect, Integrity, Inclusivity and Gratitude.
