What we do in this class:
Classical Ballet requires a specific technique. We focus on strength, poise, and a classical stance that will develop the student’s style and technique. Students will enjoy learning the art of Classical Ballet, a truly beautiful dance style, and one that is most beneficial to the body.
What to Wear:
JUNIOR STARS BALLET
Children can wear their normal tan Ballet/Acro pumps that they wear for Jazz class to their Ballet class. You do not require a separate pair of pink ballet shoes if you are in the Junior Stars ballet. However if you do an exam later in the year, then you will need a pair of pink ballet shoes. For classes however, the tan Acro pumps or split sole pumps are fine.
BALLET FOR GRADE 1 BALLET UPWARDS
Require a black leotard and Ballet skirt. Stockings are not required in the hotter months. Upper school and exam students require pink Ballet shoes. All other students can wear their normal split sole pump generally used in Jazz/Acro. Pink Ballet pumps will be required for exam students at exam time.
